Dear Students, Parents, Staff and Well-wishers,
Peace, Peace, Peace...
One of the desperate needs of humanity today is peace, peace within one’s heart, peace in
the families, peace in the workplaces, peace in the educational institutions, peace in the
religious places and peace in the world at large. There is an atmosphere of fear and anxiety
in today’s world, fuelled by terrorism, ongoing conflicts, and prolonged wars, particularly in
West Asia. We witness devastating losses of life and property, painful betrayals, broken
promises and untold suffering.
Moreover, industrial expansion, sprawling commercial complexes, narrow-minded
nationalism, and the predatory forces of unrestrained and greedy capitalism have stripped
the earth of its freedom, joy, and peace. As a result, the emotional, moral, and spiritual
foundations of our families, workplaces, towns, cities, and nations are steadily eroding.
Though the actors, whether defined by nationality, ideology, culture, or religion, may differ,
the fundamental predicament remains the same: the choice between peace and war.
An earnest appeal to the students, humanity’s future: we are called to help rebuild a
renewed humanity by becoming agents of solidarity, compassion, and love, so that all may
ultimately live in harmony: at peace with themselves, with others, with the environment,
and with God. Teachers, mentors, and parents play a crucial role in shaping young minds
by nurturing values of peace and promoting peace education, which is essential for both
personal growth and national integration.
A powerful message was given by Jesus to his disciples: “Love one another as I have loved
you” (Jn 13:34-35). Likewise, St. John Paul II, in his 1984 Message for the World Day of
Peace, affirmed that “peace is born from a new heart”—a heart filled with love. Let us,
therefore, to love, lay out the red carpet and foster a federation of friendship and peace.
How beautiful is the heart of those who go through the worst storms in life and still choose
to stay gentle, silent, patient, kind and humble. If all are like this then peace and happiness
will result in the world. If everyone becomes an agent of peace first in our own homes,
schools, and workplaces, then the world will have the gift of peace. Our life will be a
MASTERPIECE, if we MASTER ‘PEACE’. So, let’s pray that God’s Light may break through
every darkness until swords are laid down and peace is restored.
May the God - Prince of Peace, bless us all.

"Every lesson learned is a step toward a brighter future, where knowledge, values, and ambition
create boundless opportunities."
Dear parents and faculty,
It is with immense gratitude and pride that I address you through this addition of our school
magazine. Our mission has always been to provide holistic education, rooted in values,
discipline, and compassion. This year has been an adjustment to our collective efforts in
nurturing young minds to excel academically while featuring the spirit of kindness and service.
As the junior school headmistress, I feel immensely proud to announce that CJM has started
nursery classes as well, adding another spark to the CJM legacy. Our dedicated faculty and their
unwavering commitment to shaping students into confident, responsible, young individuals has
really done wonders. We strive to create an environment where every child can shine and thrive.
We also strive to draw out the best in each student.
As we reflect on our achievements, let us also look towards the future with hope and
determination. The CJM community aims to continue equipping students to meet the
ever-changing world, while staying true to our moral values and alma-mater's motto, "To serve
with love".
Keeping the teachings of St. Claudine in our minds and hearts, we shall always persevere,
building a community grounded in faith and learning. May God continue to bless us all.
With Prayers and regards,
Sr. Chinna Rani
As I pen down my thoughts on the importance of Education, I am reminded of a
Tibetan Proverb by an unknown author - “A child without education is like a bird
without wings.”
Yes, a child is the key to the nation's success and education is the key to a child's
success. Since children are a country's greatest asset, how it educates its children
significantly impacts its social and economic development.
Education is the foundation upon which the future edifice of every child is built. A
child acquires values and virtues in school. The planned and age-appropriate
pedagogical training in the classroom, the experiences at home, and the exposure to
peers from different backgrounds all form part of the child's education. A child's early
education helps enhance its visual, auditory, sensory and tactile abilities.
Students who receive an education acquire a wide range of skills and fundamental
knowledge essential to their intellectual and psychological growth. It gives students
the skills to think critically, comprehend the world around them, and make wise
decisions. It fosters children's self-confidence, self-esteem, and identity by helping
them discover their strengths and interests. It aids in social and emotional
development, enhancing empathy and emotional intelligence.
Education enhances children's social skills, empathy, and emotional intelligence,
fostering emotional well-being and navigating human relationships. It also expands
future economic opportunities, preparing children for employment and securing
higher-paying jobs, contributing to financial stability and socio economic mobility. It
fosters responsible citizenship, health literacy, and well-being by promoting civic
values, ethical behaviour and diversity while also providing access to health education
for disease prevention, hygiene practices, and overall health awareness.
Education fosters personal growth and lifelong learning, fostering curiosity, critical
thinking and intellectual development. It equips children with skills for adapting to a
rapidly changing world, investing in their future and contributing positively to
communities and society. Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful
weapon you can use to change the world." Yes, Education ameliorates poverty, hunger
and inequality in society.
I am extremely happy that our school is not only a place of learning the subjects… but
we do give all round development and thus we draw out the best from each student.
We instill essential values like respect, honesty, adaptability, responsibility and
confidence in every child. Our Teachers become role models in developing a strong
sense of right and wrong. As John Dewey said, Education is Not preparation for
Life; Education is life itself.
I pray that the good Lord may continue to bless all our students with His Spirit,
knowledge, wisdom and understanding. May the Lord help them to become life –
giving persons, good and GOD – CENTERED human beings.
I would like to conclude with the words of our beloved Mother Foundress St.
CLAUDINE THEVENET. “Let us so form these children that they may become
serious – minded, well – balanced, home – loving women and be regarded as a
BLESSING in every household they enter.”
May God continue to bless us all!
