God our Father, You granted Saint Claudine Thevenet an intimate experience of Your
merciful goodness and You called her to dedicate her life to the education of the
young, giving her the grace to draw from the heart of Your Son an ardent zeal to
make Jesus and Mary known and loved.
Help us, like her, to be witnesses to Your love, given over to the action of the
spirit and open to the needs of our brothers and sisters, especially the most deprived.
Grant us, through her intercession and for the praise of Your glory, the grace for
which we now pray.
Pray for your personal intentions,
Saint Claudine, pray for us.
PRAYER TO OBTAIN A FAVOUR THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF BLESSED DINA BELANGER
(Marie Ste. Cecile de Rome)
Father of everlasting goodness, You put into the heart of Blessed Dina Belanger
the burning desire to offer you, on behalf of all mankind, the infinite riches of
the Heart of Jesus present in the Eucharist, and to live, like Mary, closely united
to Him, whom she loved with an undivided heart.
May we, like her, find our joy in faithfully doing Your will, and since You revealed
to her Your great desire to pour out upon the world the abundance of Your graces,
hear the prayer which we make for Your greater glory, and which we entrust to her
intercession. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil. Amen
My God, I offer you this day all that I think and do and say.
Ref.: I have come to thee to take thy touch before I begin my day.
-
Let thy eye rest upon my eyes for a while.
-
Let me take to my work the assurance of thy comradeship my friend.
-
Fill my mind with thy music to last through the desert of noise.
-
Let thy love's sunshine kiss the peaks of my thoughts And linger in my life's valley
where the harvest ripens.
Look down with favour upon us
As we assemble here
To praise Thee, O Lord!
Grant that in this school
There may be laid the foundations of a character well pleasing to Thee.
Be Thou our Guardian and Guide in all things
And help us to be faithful and true to the ideals that are set before us here.
O God, our Creator and Father,
By whom we are made,
Help us to remember that we belong to Thee!
Prevent us from doing any action this day
That would make us ashamed of being called thy own children!
Bless our parents, teachers and friends,
Bless our country and our leaders
Bless those who do us good.
Bless even those who hurt us.
Keep our young minds and hearts, open to all who need us...
And bless the people who have no one to help and comfort them this day.
O God, giver of all good gifts, we place our minds and hearts before you, asking
you to help us in our Examination. Send upon us Your Holy Spirit to help us remember
all that we have learnt.
Keep us calm and alert so that we may be able to do our best and glorify and praise
you always.
O Angel of God, my Guardian dear
To whom God's love commits me here
Ever this day, be at my side
to watch and guard, to rule and guide.
O my God, I am heartily sorry for my sins and I detest them because they displease
you. O my God, who are so deserving of all my love, I promise with your help, never
to sin any more.
O God I thank you with my heart's love for all your wonderful blessings.
I thank you for life, health and protection from harm.
I thank you for all the good things, and the happiness that has come to me through
my home, my parents, my school and my teachers, my schoolmates and close friends
and all those who love me. I am truly sorry that I so often take these blessings
as though they were due to me.
And I am most sorry that I have repaid your goodness to me with ingratitude and
sin.
I want to love and please you. Please give me the courage and love I need.
Be with us Oh Lord on our way home.
St. Claudine, pray for us.

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection,

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sands
