Reverend Sr. Gracy Paul, Sr. Antoinette, Sr. Josna, Mr. Narwal , Mrs. Prakash, Ms. Kashyap, Mrs.
Skariah, respected teachers, parents and fellow CJMites. It is indeed a great honour and privilege to
be elected as the HEAD GIRL of Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi. On this solemn occasion, I
would like to express my gratitude to this esteemed institute for reposing faith in me. I thank my
family for their continued blessings and prayers. I’m grateful to the teachers and students for having
encouraged me and for supporting me.
While being aware that the role of the head girl is by no means an easy task, I seek the cooperation
and advice of the elected council members who have taken the oath with me today. Together, we
shall strive to abide by the letter and spirit of the oath and make sure that the CJM banner remains
flying high.
We promise to treat everyone with respect, to maintain the rich culture and traditions of this school
and extend assistance whenever required. We will stand as a bridge between the teachers and the
students and take the name of this institute to the highest levels while striving to cherish the dreams
and honour the legacy of St. Claudine Thevenet, our mother foundress.
Thank you.

"Per aspera ad astra - through difficulties to the stars".
On behalf of the student council I take this opportunity to thank our Principal, teachers and students who always believed in us and our abilities
to lead this school. To be appointed as the head girl of the Convent of Jesus and Mary was both blessing and a great honour.
It brought a sense of pride and responsibility. To be given this opportunity to serve the school filled me with utmost elation and joy.
I have spent thirteen years in this school and it has given me everything one could ask for. I have witnessed it all from the immense support and guidance of the
Sisters and the teachers to the care and concern of friends and classmates, from the compassion and kindness of helpers to the love of my juniors.
The Convent of Jesus and Mary creates young women who are not only capable of solving every problem, but have the power and the zeal
to reach out and heal; to heal the wounds and scars through kindness, empathy and love. Here we learn to Serve with Love and this brings
out a sense of serenity in everything a CJMite endeavours to do. It is not uncommon to see a CJMite stand tall amidst chaos with a calm demeanor
bringing order to everything she attempts.
That is the power these haloed portals endow you with. You learn the magic of devotion and service with dignity becoming a small Wizard.
Odious though it may seem my message to those who follow us through this august institution,
is that the future depends on what you do today. So learn from yesterday and live for today. Walter D. Wintle put it beautifully,
"You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win the price".
