If I were to describe how I feel at this moment in just one word, it would be “surreal”. We have
crossed out days on our calendars, burnt the midnight oil, bonded over shared passions and
anxieties— waiting for this day to come. Yet, now that the time has come to say goodbye, it’s
harder than we imagined. It feels like yesterday that we walked into school for the first time,
wide-eyed and nervously clutching our oversized backpacks.
And here we stand today, on the
brink of a new chapter. How did we get here so fast? It’s humanly impossible to sum up 13
years of memories in just a few minutes, but these red bricked walls
have always stood by, watching over us. They didn’t just witness our growth; they
absorbed our laughter, our tears, our secrets whispered in corridors, and our silent prayers
before exams.
We have been fortunate to be surrounded by people who
helped us reach new heights and planted the seeds of hope and humility in our lives. To
our Principal, Sr. Gracy Paul, and the Sisters of the Community, thank you for inspiring us
throughout our odyssey with your kindness and compassion, which has helped us grow into
conscientious individuals. Dear parents, you have supported us through every setback, guided
us through every dilemma and loved us unconditionally through it all. We owe whomever we are
today to you. Dear teachers, thank you for nurturing us into empowered young minds.
You
have broadened our horizons and our lives will forever be imbued with the lessons and love you
have imparted. A huge thank you to our administrative staff and our helpers. You have
exemplified what it means to serve with love, and your smiles will always be ingrained in our
minds. A shout out to our lovely juniors.
You have been nothing short of amazing, with your
creative ideas and enthusiastic spirit.
Thank you for making today’s programme unforgettable.
And now, to my incredible batchmates, the graduating class of 2025. The journey we’ve shared
has been an
extraordinary roller coaster. From silly conversations to late night heart to hearts— we've grown
together. We’ve shared carefree times and we’ve stood by each other through thick and thin.
From dancing till the Claudine Hall shook, to the angelic harmonies of our
choir; from the creativity of writers and actors, to the grit of athletes among us; from painting in
our art files to creating animations; from the
goosebump-stimulating nukkad nataks to meticulous event planning, we have ventured into new
territories. Needless to say, our time here
won’t be defined by the accolades we won or the grades we achieved, but by the relationships
we nurtured and the lessons we learnt.
Stepping into the next chapter is equal parts scary and exciting. But so was entering junior
school and every other ‘first’. Our small acts of courage have led us here and I’m confident that
each one of us has what
it takes to build the life we’ve dreamt of- with courage and kindness.
As Bunny said, “Main udna chahta hoon, daudna chahta hoon, girna
bhi chahta hoon, bas rukna nahi chahta," and while we’re excited to fly into the
future, with the wings we metamorphosed into under the shade of our alma mater, a part of me
wishes we could freeze time and hold on to the joys, pains, and friendships that shaped us.
Because no matter where life takes us, this red-bricked building will always feel like home.
Thank you for everything and I wish you all the best!

FAREWELL SPEECH
Good morning Respected Sr. Gracy, teachers, parents and my dear friends.
I'm honoured to stand on this podium once again and maybe for the last time as the
spokesperson of the 170 gorgeous young ladies sitting down there.
As I stand on the precipice of departure, my heart swells with gratitude and emotion,
and it is imperative for me to express my deepest thanks to our parents. In the
relentless journey of life, you've been the commanders of our first steps, teaching us
that a journey of a thousand strides begins with the audacity to take that first step.
Thank you, dear parents, for the gift of education and the privilege of being admitted
to this prestigious institution.
13 years ago we got the nurturing souls who have been our guiding lights – the
Sisters of our beloved institution.
Thank you, dear Sister Gracy and all the sisters of the Convent, for creating a
heaven on earth within the walls of CJM. You are the angels that have graced our
lives, and your impact will resonate in our hearts forever.
In the sacred halls of this institution, dear teachers, you've not just imparted lessons
from textbooks but life lessons.
You've been more than instructors; you've been the architects of our dreams, the
alchemists who turned confusion into clarity and fear into courage.
Reflecting on our journey from being frightened five-year-olds to the confident
teenagers standing before you today, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the pivotal
role you've played in shaping our lives.
Dear administrative staff, Thank you for being the backstage crew, ensuring that the
show of our school life runs seamlessly.
A big thank you to the helpers. From maintaining the cleanliness of our surroundings
to ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations, you've been the unsung
heroes of our everyday lives.
Let's have a round of applause for our dear 11thies for organizing our farewell and
making this day even more special for us.
Thank you Juniors!
Batch of 2024, can I have your attention pls. Before I dive into the sentimental pool,
let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that we're all here, beautifully dressed.
And I feel we should do this together.
Guys join me....we all are looking so beautiful, so elegant just looking like a wow.
As I conclude my speech, let these words resonate with the laughter we shared, the
challenges we conquered, and the unbreakable bond that defines us.
From walking the big distance of 10 steps from junior to senior school,
To getting introduced to new teachers and finding them oh-so-cool
From collecting onions and potatoes as juniors
To fighting over paneer patties as seniors
From dreaming of superstars,
To having crushes on green coats
We've surely come a long way.
From having weird K-Poppers as friends,
To getting weird Christmas titles when the year ends.
From sitting in class and vibing with Swifties,
To sunbathing in the lawn every now and then.
From being defaulters in the morning assembly
To hiding behind the bushes during the morning jogs.
We are a wacky, mixed up bunch of kids.
Some are easy going, some reserved, and everybody's different.
But there's a common thread that binds us all,
A convent school, with a red brick wall.
But we'll remember this place for evermore,
-and yeah, we're CJMites to the core.
Together let's continue to serve with love.
And that's your head girl
