On 29th August,2019 student of class 9th,11th of Convent of Jesus and Mary visited the Indira Gandhi Stadium to take part in Fit India Campaign. It is an initiative started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Major Dhyan Chand;s birthday. The Objective was a encourage the students and the general public to work towords a Fit India. The programme was inaugurated with singing of the National Anthem. People from diverse who have devoted their lives to keep themselves fit were applauded; followed by performances showing different art forms of various states such as Bihu, Bharatnatym, which improve our balance, concentration power and bring peace to our body and soul. A small yet beautiful act was presented by school students highlighting the importance of outdoor games in a student life after which Mr. Narendra Modi addresed students of different schools with a short speech regarding why this initiative was launched, its importance and relevance in our day to day life. In all experience was quite a enriching one and all the students enjoyed the programme. We would like to thank our Principal, Sr. Gracy, Our supervisors Mrs. Prakash, Sangita kashyap for giving us an opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful campaign.
