Description:
In continuation to the various outreach activities, CJM-PTA came ahead under the able guidance of its President- Sr Gracy Paul to conduct a Counseling session cum specialized workshop entitled “ Emotional well being of pre-adolescent children”- for the parents of Khristraja Secondary School on 20th January, 2021. The main objective of the said workshop was to help parents to manage stress and develop good communication at home alongwith developing problem solving skills- informs Mr Sanjay Sharma, Hony General Secretary-PTA. The session was headed by Ms Rajisha S., Consultant who apprised about the importance of relationship between parents and children, focusing on realistic and appropriate expectations from children beside building a non-punitive, democratic environment at home. Parents really liked the said counseling cum workshop where they were informed about various aspects w.r.t monitoring children’s behavior, study pattern, scholastic and co-scholastic performance as well as how to build an environment of togetherness through family games, by Ms. Rajisha . The workshop concluded with a brief motivational address by Dr Heena Bijli on cohesiveness of parents and teachers for the appropriate development of children.
Parents were also informed about the various pedagogic activities by PTA from time to time including the informative educational online address on Fundamental rights and duties viz a viz Indian Constitution given to children by Mr Sanjay Sharma a few weeks back.
