The newly-elected council members of the Middle School of Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi, assumed their responsibilities at the Investiture Ceremony by waving their House flags and accepting their badges and sashes. The chief guest for the occasion, Reverend Father Lawrence, from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, blessed the new council and inspired everyone present with his words of wisdom. Rendering that becoming a council member is just the embarkment of the journey of learning and enhancing skills to serve the community and the country, he encouraged the students to always support and help their peers in the time of need.
The Principal, Sr. Gracy Paul, congratulated the newly elected council and addressed the gathering motivating them on how education prepares an individual for the future and inspired the members of the student council to discharge their duties keeping in mind three key factors: fortitude, passion, and pursuit of excellence.
The school reposed faith and hope in the newly appointed student council for the academic year 2022-23. The event ended with everyone singing the school song, led by the school choir, igniting a feeling of school pride in the students and teachers alike.
