Description:
The AGM was held in Claudine Hall on 26th April 2014, Saturday. The programme was inaugurated by our principal, Sister Janet, guest speaker Dr. Umesh Sharma, Sister Shanty (Junior School Headmistress), Mrs.V. Goel (Senior School Supervisor) and Mrs. M. Chatterjee (Middle School Supervisor). A bhajan was sung and a prayer to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. Ms. Bharti Singh PTA Honorary General Secretary read out the Annual Report 2013-14 and Ms. Seema Chhabra tabled the accounts. An exquisite dance celebrating childhood was staged.This was followed by a speech and an interactive session by the guest speaker Dr. Sharma. It was an illuminating experience for the audience. This was followed by an extremely hard hitting play “Dastak” by Asmita Theatre Group. The theme was atrocities on women and the need to speak up against violence to woman. The play was extremely well received and given a standing ovation by the awed audience. The retiring teachers: Mrs. M. Chatterjee, Mrs. A. Singh and Mrs. C. Mendonca were felicitated by the PTA.The names of the retiring members and the new members of the PTA were announced. The vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Anita Kaul, PTA member. The national anthem was sung. The programme came to an end with the invitation for refreshments laid out downstairs. The AGM was a success and enjoyed by the parents.
