Description:
Middle School organized an Inter House Spelling Bee for classes 6-9. Classes 6&7 competed in one set of rounds and the winner was House Enterprise. Classes 8&9 competed in another set of rounds and the winning team was House Endeavour. The final score was the total of both rounds.
The Spell Bee was conducted by Nandini Parashar and Tanishi Kohli of class XI who took the teams through the various rounds via a power point presentation. The four House teams were assessed not only on spellings but also on synonyms, guessing the correct word, homophones, unscrambling words and much more. The buzzer round saw the teams scrambling to complete their crossword or word ladder ahead of the others. The rapid fire round had the students spelling the called out word. The teams were well prepared and showed keen interest and enthusiasm throughout.
The Principal, Sister Gracy handed the certificates to the winning teams and encouraged the students to improve their vocabulary by reading good books, magazines and periodicals.
