                        Maths day  -Wonderland of Numbers was celebrated with enthusiasm  by the students  of the junior school on 4 th November. Foundational Numeracy is emergent Numeracy. It develops, emerges when children get opportunity to do activities that are meaningful to them which involve counting objects to quantify. This meaningful sense of number is the source of numeracy – the ability to look at numbers, play with them and to relate them. The sense of order among numbers and other relations emerge through these activities without being directly taught; but by supporting children’s explorations. Students  enjoyed the various activities organized by the teachers in the class. Sudoku and Rubik's cube competition  was also held for classes 4& 5 and classes  1 to 3 respectively. Students  were  enlightened about the significance  of each of the digits 0 to 9 in our daily lives and they were made aware of the specialities of the numbers.
