Description:
This year on 28th, 29th August and 1st September 2014 CJM Old Students’ Association organized modified Cambridge style inter school debate for its annual literary event. The participating schools were Loreto Convent, St. Xavier’s, Presentation Convent, St. Columba’s, Mater Dei, DPS RK Puram, Vasant Valley and CJM New Delhi. All the schools were invited to come to CJM on the 27th August for registration and draw of lots to select their opponent and topic for 28th. The final between CJM New Delhi and Vasant Valley, on the topic – “Harmony isn’t created when everyone sings the same note”, was won by Vasant Valley. Sr. Janet presented the Sr. Dorothy's Cup rolling trophy along with the individual trophies to the winning team. The Best Speaker and Second Best Speaker were also presented with trophies and a cash prize of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 respectively. All the participants were given participation certificates on all the three days.
